Message at 160# vs. 120# for stock. I'm also using stock valves which are a little lighter than oversized valves.

In the bottom end I would say the Pauter rods are doing a great job and the crankshaft lightening may or may not have anything to do with it. The counterweight is the most prone part of the crank I would suspect to come apart at higher revs and I did take material off of that part of the crank so I'm sure it helped but not certain if it is required.

I haven't taken weight measurements or run any calculations on the valvetrain inertia across the RPM band to justify my suspicion that the JWT HD valvesprings are overkill, but just on the sole fact I was able to rev her that high without putting valves into the pistons is an emipirical test that I would say validates my suspicion. So I would say the key change is in the valvesprings.
